Major banks quit climate alliance

The recent withdrawal of major banks in the US, Canada, Australia and Japan from the Net Zero Banking Alliance (NZBA) could weaken the speed of decarbonisation and encourage other financial institutions to deprioritise their climate commitments, according to a report by the Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis (IEEFA).

Pride in Energy has published its third annual survey results, revealing positive trends towards gender identity and sexual identity inclusion in the UK’s energy sector. Nevertheless, more progress needs to be made with respondents calling for real inclusivity in the form of advocacy and visible role models and shunning empty ‘pinkwashing’ PR and marketing.
