World first sets sail

Despite the recent arrival of the world’s first FLNG vessel, a perception of over-supply in the LNG market has led to deferment of some significant floating LNG plans. However, the availability of abundant volumes of inexpensive gas seems to be driving demand for floating storage and re-gasification units (FSRUs) which act as floating reception terminals.
