Linear approximation of efficiency for a non-endoreversible cycle. Journal of the Energy Institute, Volume 84, Number 2, pp. 61-65

A non-endoreversible Curzon and Ahlborn cycle is analysed taking into account its time of adiabatic processes. Expressions of power output and ecological function with non-instantaneous adiabats are found, such as the corresponding linear approximation of efficiency for both maximum power output and maximum ecological function regimes. The graphic behaviour of these linear approximations of efficiency is included. A numerical comparison with other results found in the literature of finite time thermodynamics is also included.
