In the correct situation it is a relatively straightforward technology to provide energy savings and, because it affects the incoming supply, it can offer a reduction on total electrical consumption in one installation. However, the key aspect to remember with this technology is that it will not necessarily be right in every situation, so care is needed and an appropriate assessment is required.
