Waste-to-energy – a viable part of the UK energy mix

Waste-to-energy technology has been around for a long time but, argues Arup’s Ben Glover, the industry needs to up its game with respect to efficiency to maximise benefits. The waste-fuelled CHP facility being built at Kemsley in  Kent shows the way forward.
