Fuel cells power Singapore security robots
German provider of hybrid fuel cells SFC Energy has announced the deployment of its 1000th EFOY Pro fuel cell model as an off-grid power supply for public health and safety infrastructure in Singapore.
The fuel cells have all been deployed by Oneberry Technologies, a security and surveillance company, which offers mobile (robot based) and off-grid surveillance solutions, as well as flood monitoring systems.
The firm’s MobiCam technology, a mobile unit for crowd monitoring, uses the fuel cell for very long, unattended off-grid operation. Oneberry’s ‘virtual guards’ (pictured) are also powered by fuel cells so that they can roam for long periods without charging.
