Guidance regarding G+ operations during COVID-19

G+ is the Global Offshore Wind Health and Safety Organisation. The Energy Institute provides the secretariat and supports the ongoing work of the G+.

Over the past month the Energy Institute has organised a weekly call to discuss the COVID-19 outbreak with G+ members and how it is impacting their offshore wind farm operations through the development stages to generation. Lessons learnt have been shared by the G+ group on the Toolbox web app.

The G+ has also discussed good practice amongst its members, responses to regulators, sharing publicly available information sources and any hot topics or concerns that the group has.

The G+ has requested that these weekly calls continue for the foreseeable. It also acts a conduit for other stakeholders to get in touch with the offshore wind industry. The Energy Institute, through the G+, is in regular contact with small vessel operators, larger marine contractors, other trade associations and government bodies. Helping the offshore wind industry to work together during these challenging times.
