In Germany, Lilium has incorporated minor improvements to the powertrain or its battery/electric aircraft following the fire of its first demonstrator, and the receipt of further funding. It expects to resume flight testing later in summer 2020. The aircraft design features 36 lifting fans with 12 on the front wing and 24 on the rear.
