Seven applicants in Norway’s 25th licensing round

Seven companies have applied for production licences in Norway’s 25th licensing round. A total of 136 blocks or parts of blocks were announced; of these, 11 are located in the Norwegian Sea and 125 in the Barents Sea.

The companies that applied for production licences, either alone or in groups, are Shell, Equinor, Idemitsu Petroleum, Ineos, Lundin, OMV and Vår Energi.
