ADNOC to expand capacity at Shah sour gas plant

ADNOC has awarded a $510mn engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract to Italy’s Saipem to expand capacity at its sour gas plant in Shah by 13% to 1.45bn cf/d by 2023.

The expansion plan supports ADNOC’s objective of enabling gas self-sufficiency for the United Arab Emirates and underpins growth in gas production, in line with ADNOC’s 2030 strategy.
