In the EV world, the provision of multiple charging points is crucial, as underlined by the plan in USA for the installation of 500 000 such points within the next 10 years, and the need for UK to raise the annual installation rate from 7000 to 35 000. In London, the 500 rapid and 5500 residential charging points will need to rise to 4000 and 48 000 respectively to achieve net zero by 2030. These needs are strengthened by the Bloomberg prediction that electric vehicles will be less expensive than piston alternatives by 2027.
