Cuica field offshore Angola comes onstream
Eni commenced production from the Cuica field, in deepwater block 15/06 offshore Angola, via the Armada Olombendo floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel at the end of July 2021, just over four month’s after discovery.
The FPSO has a production capacity of 100,000 b/d of oil and is designed to operate with zero discharge. In addition to handling production from the Cuica field, the Armada Olombendo is receiving and treating production from the Cabaça, Cabaça South East and UM8 fields. It will start taking production from the Cabaça North field in 4Q2021.
Block 15/06 is operated by Eni Angola (36.84%), partnered by Sonangol Pesquisa e Produção (36.84%) and SSI Fifteen (26.32%).
