Call for independent inquiry into government’s handling of UK fuel crisis
The Chairman of the Petrol Retailers Association (PRA), Brian Madderson, has called for an independent inquiry into the government’s handling of the road transport fuel crisis, so that motorists are protected from such acute fuel shortages in the future.
Some 12% of forecourts in London and south-east were still out of fuel and 17% had just one grade of fuel in early October as a result of ‘inappropriate prioritisation’, according to the PRA.
