Shell HQ to move to UK

Royal Dutch Shell is planning to unify its dual share structure and move its headquarters and tax residence to the UK.

The oil and gas major will lose ‘Royal Dutch’ from its name following the move, which it says will enable improved share buybacks and easier deal-making to navigate the energy transition. The dual share announcement triggered a fierce backlash in the Netherlands.
