In Europe, ZEROe and Airbus are progressing with their plan for 100 to 200 pax, 1000 to2000 nm range, aircraft powered by hydrogen-fed fuel cells of their own design. Studies include gasification of the hydrogen just prior to entry to the combustor, to entry to the fuel cells,, and just outside the tank. These researches include contrails.
