In UK, Wastefront are building at Sunderland a plant to convert waste tyres into SAF by means of heating in the absence of oxygen to produce pyrolysis oil and carbon black. The former is then further processed to SAF. The UK generates over 30 million used tyres as part of the billion world wide.
