In South Korea, the Korean Institute of Materials Science has developed a magnesium-nickel-tin (Mg-20 Ni-Sn) alloy that securely locks hydrogen within its metal structure, enabling long-term storage at atmospheric pressure, eliminating the need for high-pressure tanks or cryogenic systems.
