The French facility Thales Alena Space is building two reduced-scale Stratobus airships as high-altitude long-range carriers.   Propulsion power will be provided by 1000 sq.m solar panels.   A full-scale demonstrator is planned for 2030-31.  The vehicle will be 130 m in length, and weigh 8000kg.
