Garret Reim, NASA funding rotating detonation rocket engine demo in 2026, Aviation Week Network, 9 October 2025

In US, NASA has selected Momentum to provide a testbed for development of its Juno rotating detonation rocket engine for space applications based on  advantageous thrust efficiencies, mass reduction and system simplicity.   The propellant used is nitrous oxide and ethene, both of which are non toxic  and self-pressurising.
