The UK offshore oil and gas industry is one of the country's most successful industrial sectors. It has a reputation as a global centre of excellence for the provision of oil and gas field goods and services, while its supply chain - with a turnover of £16bn and about 350,000 employees - truly is the jewel in the crown of the UK economy, writes Oil & Gas UK's Britta Hallbauer.
