The Tanzania-Zambia (TAZAMA) transnational oil pipeline and Indeni oil refinery at Ndola, Zambia, act as important supply links for petroleum products to countries in Southern Africa. However, frequent shutdowns of the two facilities have severely hampered fuel distribution to various states in the central and Great Lakes regions.
