Vietnam’s new energy plans

Vietnam has recently signed several important energy cooperation agreements with foreign partners as part of efforts to overcome serious electricity shortages that threaten to hold back the country’s future economic development. In addition to plans to develop indigenous oil, gas and coal reserves, the Vietnamese government is supporting initiatives to diversify the nation’s energy mix and develop new sources.
