Transport without fossil fuels

Transport is the sector with potentially the greatest difficulty in switching to a post-fossil fuel energy economy. Yet, where for rail, road, air or sea transport, most of the required technologies have already been demonstrated, writes Dr John Lowry, and could work with a decarbonised electricity generating sector.
