Flexibility trumps all in a shifting biofuels industry

In the biofuels world, Lux Research indicates that first generation products relying on one single feedstock and producing one single product are fundamentally flawed, and are failing to develop, wheres a new crop of companies is emerging with multiple feedstocks leading to a more promising future based on 'flexibility' of both process input and output, leading to chemicals, plastics and cosmetics as well as fuels.
