Reassuring US oil and gas scene

A recent report by the US National Petroleum Council noted the existence of sufficient oil resources offshore in the Gulf of Mexico, in shale and tight oil deposits, and in the Arctic, to meet US demand for decades, without resorting to imports. It said that the US natural gas resource base could supply more than 100 years of demand at current consumption levels.
