Tohoku Electric signs LNG supply deal

Tohoku Electric is understood to have signed a sales and purchase agreement to buy LNG from the Qatargas 3 project, for a 15-year period commencing in 2016. The Japanese utility will buy between 60,000 and 90,000 t/y over 2016–2018 and 180,000 t/y over 2019–2030. The LNG will be delivered ex-ship.
