Malaysian FLNG project gets green light

Petronas and Murphy are reported to have reached a final investment decision (FID) for a 1.5mn t/y floating LNG (FLNG) liquefaction project at the Rotan field in block H offshore Sabah, Malaysia. First gas is expected by 2018. The project will be a phased development centered around the Rotan discovery and gas resources from the three satellite fields Alum, Bemban and Buluh.
