The pressure’s off – recovering energy from pipeline stations

Large amounts of energy are available for utilisation at gas pipeline pressure reducing stations, if the right technology is employed to recover it. Here, an article from the USbased FuelCell Energy shows how one technology option can deliver clean power to the local electricity grid, without resorting to burning some of the gas in the pipeline.
