Petroleum Review July 2014

This month’s issue of Petroleum Review looks at the challenges and opportunities emerging in the global LNG market. History is being made as Russia recently signed the world’s largest gas deal with China, while the ongoing Ukraine conflict impacts on the Great Bear’s relationship with West European customers. Although sanctions and construction delays are slowing down the anticipated surge in new LNG capacity, major capacity additions are forecast. A new fleet of floating LNG projects is also ready to set sail.

Speaking of history, it is also fascinating to look at the roots of OPEC five decades ago, an alliance which changed the face of the oil and gas sector. This is an industry which never stays still and in this issue we also analyse the US shale bonanza, what’s working and what isn’t.
