This collaborative workshop is focused on improving safety in foundation fabrication, specifically the many lifting operations involved. Through practical case studies, group discussions, an interactive lifting scenario exercise and a guided site tour, participants will explore lessons learned from lifting activities, transport and load-out operations and the influence of design on safe fabrication of the component.
A highlight of the day is the immersive lifting scenario exercise, delivered by a specialist safety engagement provider using professional actors to recreate a fabrication yard lifting operation. As the scenario unfolds, participants will be actively identifying hazards, assessing risks, challenging unsafe decisions and exploring how communication, planning, leadership and human factors can influence safety outcomes.
Join us in Antwerp to share experiences, identify good practices and contribute to ongoing industry efforts to enhance safety performance across offshore wind foundation fabrication activities.
